Bodybuilding as the way of life We'd like to talk about so popular nowadays sport - bodybuilding. It appeared as one of the expression of the mankind's eagerness to be perfect. In the ancient times the perception about the ideal already existed.The greatest examples of humans' figures were created by the famous sculptors of the Mediterranean. It should be mentioned though that not only appearance but one's rich inner world attracted them as well. And the numerous antique heroes such as Gercules, Antey, Ahilles and others prove that. In Sparta, for example, where the military service was the top priority a lot of attention was paid to bringing up a multifaceted person. Physical training was combined with intellectual training. The modern bodybuilding rests on this perpetual harmony. Let's make a digression here. Any professional sport is the world of records and the demonstration of human's potential. Very often the motto of many sportsmen is following: the end justifies the means and the sport itself can turn into the battle of the pharmaceutical companies but this is another topic. Any of you saw the bodybuilders on the screens of the TVs, in the magazines or in commercial.
Most of the people have the wrong attitude toward this sport. They treat it as the waste of time and useless expansion of muscles. Nobody thinks that it's extremely hard: regular practices and strong will. The person with wide range of knowledge in anatomy, physiology, biochemistry and the true desire will be able to achieve something. Competitions are very important for any sprtsman. In bodybulding the competition is a tactical battle, nervous and psychological tension, a hard work of muscles. When we see these smiling sportsmen on stage we think that it's some kind of beauty contest. And if you are familiar with it you realize how difficult it is to demostrate this easiness. The major work takes place in the gyms. After all sport exist not only for records and bodybuilding exist not only because of muscles. Bodybuilding is health, pleasure, new and interesting friends. You'll be able to improve your health if you go in for this sport, you'll normalize metabolism, lose some weight, get rid of depression and acquire nice shapes. As a result you'll feel better and learn to keep control of your own body because bodybuilding teaches to set the goals and to reach them. |
